R.A.R.E

R.A.R.E is an organization that my mom and dad started when they got married. This is no longer being run by my parents, but my brother is doing his best to keep it going. At my father’s house, we have two Ball Pythons that were both rescues. My brother once had a 7 foot long Boa and a 9 foot long Boa. Snakes this big usually eat chickens, rabbits, or other animals of that variety. This organization used to take in animals such as turtles, tortoises, snakes, lizards, and many others. This organization was originated in Salono County, Fairfield, CA. At our old house in Fairfield our back yard, house, and garage was filled with tanks that had reptiles and that such, waiting for a good home or a zoo to take them in. This organization has been running since 1995. In this organization, we not only take the animals in, we also educate people about them. My parents used to take some of the tamest animals with them and show them to kids at schools. They would show them there different body types, how to tell the gender of a snake, and let children pet some of them. We no longer go to schools, but we still take in a few of them whenever we can.
